Schumacher extra gemotiveerd voor punten in India

Michael Schumacher verklaart dat zijn beradenheid om punten te scoren in de volgende race, de Grand Prix van India, alleen maar toegenomen is. Dit nadat de Duitser in de vorige race slachtoffer werd van Renault-coureur Vitaly Petrov, die de controle over zijn bolide verloor en zo Schumacher van een puntloos resultaat voorzag.

Tot nu toe was het beste resultaat van de zevenvoudig wereldkampioen Formule 1 dit jaar een vierde plaats in de Grand Prix van Canada. Schumacher kijkt uit naar de volgende race in India, waar voor het eerst een Grand Prix wordt gehouden: "De volgende race is in India, waar we nog nooit geracet hebben. Veel mensen vertellen me dat het een fascinerend land is. Ik kijk erg uit naar de cultuur en om de baan voor de eerste keer te mogen aanschouwen. Ik weet zeker dat we verbaasd zullen zijn over wat men in een korte tijd allemaal voor elkaar heeft weten te krijgen."

De Mercedes GP-coureur vervolgt: "Er is veel werk gestoken in de voorbereidingen in India, dus ik ben er zeker van dat we een nieuwe aanwas fans tijdens de volgende race mogen verwelkomen. Ik ben altijd in voor nieuwe races op nieuwe banen en vind het een uitdaging om zo snel mogelijk zo'n circuit eigen te maken."

De coureur is hoopvol gestemd op een goed resultaat tijdens de Grand Prix in India: "De laatste race was een teleurstelling voor ons. Daarom ben ik extra gemotiveerd en vastberaden om de volgende race een paar punten binnen te halen als beloning voor het harde werk van het team."

  Het zou pas nieuws zijn als hij zou zeggen dat hij totaal niet gemotiveerd was voor punten in India ;)
