Lotus Renault kiest voor Christian Vietoris bij young driver-test

Lotus Renault GP heeft een verrassende keuze gemaakt wat betreft de Young Driver Tests in Abu Dhabi. De renstal zal na de Grand Prix in het oliestaatje met Christian Vietoris in actie komen tijdens de rookietests, zo maakte de Duitser bekend.

Vietoris racete dit seizoen in de GP2 Series waar hij twee overwinningen scoorde en als zevende eindigde in de eindstand. Gisteren kwam ook zijn eerste seizoen in de DTM tot een einde. Over enkele weken zal de jonge Duitser in actie komen voor Lotus Renault tijdens de Young Driver Tests.

"In Monza kwam Eric Boullier naar me toe en heeft me een test aangeboden", vertelde Vietoris. "Die heb ik natuurlijk maar al te graag aangenomen. Het is vooralsnog geen voorbode voor volgend jaar, het is gewoon een beloning voor mijn goede seizoen."
