Red Bull Racing bevestigt Vergne voor young drivers-test

Het team van Red Bull Racing heeft officieel kenbaar gemaakt dat Scuderia Toro Rosso-reserve Jean-Eric Vergne over twee weken de young drivers-test namens de constructeurskampioen voor zijn rekening neemt. De Fransman eindigde in de World Series by Renault van dit jaar als runner-up. Vergne test van 15 tot en met 17 november met Red Bull Racing in Abu Dhabi.

Ik kijk er echt naar uit om de RB7 over Yas Marina Circuit te sturen. Ik ken de baan en ik heb dit jaar al wat meters met een Formule 1-wagen gereden, wat zal helpen. Ik ben extreem blij dat Red Bull Racing me deze kans geeft. Het wordt een geweldige ervaring voor me en de beste Formule 1-bolide van dit moment besturen zal ongetwijfeld fantastisch aanvoelen. Ik ga mijn best doen tijdens deze drie belangrijke testdagen en ik verheug me er al op, aldus Vergne.
