Fernandes: "Naast de baan vallen alle puzzelstukjes op hun plek"

Het gaat de goede kant op met Team Lotus/Caterham F1 Team. Die boodschap draagt teambaas Tony Fernandes uit na de bekendmaking van de komst van Steve Nielsen als sportief directeur. De Maleisische zakenman belooft nog meer 'opwindend' nieuws in de nabije toekomst en is optimistisch over de toekomst van zijn team.

Fernandes: Naast de baan vallen alle puzzelstukjes langzaam maar zeker op hun plek en we hebben ons lot volledig in eigen hand. Ik weet zeker dat de stappen die we ondernemen ons het beste platform bieden om toekomstig succes te garanderen, zowel in de autosport als met onze activiteiten in de automobielsector. Gezien hetgeen wat we ondanks veel onzekerheden al bereikt hebben kan ik bijna garanderen dat we een mooie toekomst tegemoet gaan. We gaan op een ander moment verder in op de andere ontwikkelingen waar we mee bezig zijn, maar nu ligt alle focus op Abu Dhabi en Brazilië om het momentum dat we dit seizoen op hebben gebouwd vast te houden.
