Bottas denkt aan vrijdagrol in 2012 als voorbereiding op 2013

Valtteri Bottas neemt voor volgend jaar genoegen met een vaste rol bij Williams voor de eerste vrije trainingen bij de Grands Prix. Een racestoeltje is voor 2012 waarschijnlijk nog te hoog gegrepen, dat is het doel voor 2013. Ervaring opdoen is volgend jaar het devies voor de GP3-kampioen.

Bottas zegt in Turun Sanomat: We hebben nog niets getekend, maar ik zie geen reden waarom mijn testrol bij Williams tot een einde zou komen. Het zou geweldig zijn om volgend jaar de eerste vrije trainingen bij Grands Prix voor mijn rekening te nemen, dat zou enorm helpen richting 2013.

Bij het team van Williams is men in elk geval zeer te spreken over Bottas. Teammanager Dickie Stanford: Hij is een heel goede coureur. Abu Dhabi was zijn eerste echte test voor ons en hij heeft indruk gemaakt. Valtteri is ontspannen, intelligent en goed in wat hij doet.
