Virgin Racing ontvangt boete van 5.000 dollar voor 'unsafe release'

Het team van Virgin Racing moet zoals verwacht een boete betalen voor het geknoei bij de pitstop van Timo Glock tijdens de Braziliaanse Grand Prix. De Duitser verloor meteen na de stop een van zijn achterwielen, die was niet goed gemonteerd.

De internationale autosportbond FIA noemt zoiets een unsafe release, in artikel 23.1 van de Sportieve Reglementen. Voor het op pad sturen van een coureur met een onveilige auto heeft Virgin Racing een boete van 5.000 dollar gekregen.
