Dagverslag etappe 13: Coma grootste verliezer, ook De Rooy verliest tijd

Marc Coma, die als leider van het motorenklassement aan de dag begon, verloor vandaag veel tijd en moet de eerste positie teruggeven aan Cyril Despres. Bij de trucks heeft ook leider Gerard de Rooy tijd verloren, maar hij staat nog altijd aan kop. Tot slot kwam bij de auto's Stephane Peterhansel als winnaar over de streep.

Motoren
De eerste rijders kwamen iets voor vijven Nederlandse tijd al binnen in het bivak. Helder Rodrigues had de snelste tijd achter zijn naam staan, op 47 seconden gevolgd door Cyril Despres. De Fransman profiteerde van een slechte dag bij Marc Coma. Coma verloor bijna dertien minuten op Despres nadat hij een verkeerde route nam, en heeft daardoor de leiding in het klassement weer moeten afstaan.

Op de achtste plaats eindigde vandaag de beste Nederland. Frans Verhoeven verloor 6:38 minuten op winnaar Rodrigues, maar klimt wel naar de vijftiende plaats in het klassement. Vooraan in de tussenstand heeft Despres nu 11:07 minuten voorsprong op Coma, terwijl winnaar Rodrigues al op meer dan een uur achterstand volgt.

Trucks
Zoals al gezegd was Gerard de Rooy vandaag niet de winnaar van de dertiende etappe. De Nederlander eindigde de dag als zesde, zo'n 25 minuten achter winnaar Andrey Karginov. De Rus is daarmee bezig aan een inhaalrace en klimt naar de vijfde stek.

Hans Stacey won ook wat tijd terug op leider De Rooy. Hij eindigde vandaag als derde met een achterstand van ruim 22 minuten op Karginov. De Rus was oppermachtig en eindigde ruim twintig minuten voor de nummer twee, Andre de Azevedo.
