Valencia bespeurt bereidheid om te onderhandelen bij Ecclestone

De president van de regio Valencia, Alberto Fabra, is gisteren in Londen op bezoek geweest bij Bernie Ecclestone. De twee bespraken de contractvoorwaarden voor de Grand Prix in de Spaanse stad en Fabra ziet een opening om af te dingen bij de commerciële baas van de Formule 1.

De bereidheid om te onderhandelen is aanwezig, begint de Spanjaard tegenover persbureau EFE. En we zijn op de juiste weg. Meer vergaderingen staan in de planning. Valencia wil niet langer voldoen aan de hoge prijs die het met Ecclestone heeft afgesproken voor de Grand Prix. Fabra had de ontmoeting aangevraagd om minder te gaan betalen voor een jaarlijkse race.
