PURE benadert alle teams spoedig voor tweede ontmoeting

De nieuwe motorleverancier PURE, die van plan is om in 2014 in de Formule 1 toe te treden, onderstreept de lezing van McLaren dat van onderhandelingen over een samenwerking geen sprake is. De motorfabrikant van voormalig teambaas Craig Pollock heeft met alle teams kennis gemaakt en meer is het niet. Binnenkort gaat PURE voor een tweede ronde langs bij de renstallen.

Die reactie gaf Pollock op 422race.com. Het laatste en enige contact tussen McLaren en PURE dateert van eind vorig jaar, toen we alle teams bezochten om ons programma te presenteren. Motorbouwer Gilles Simon vergezelde me daarbij, en de teamleiding van McLaren was aanwezig bij die ontmoeting. We hebben daarna elkaar niet meer gesproken of gezien. We zullen McLaren en alle andere teams spoedig benaderen voor vervolgafspraken.
