Ascanelli: "Vooral onze neus zal nog agressiever worden"

Scuderia Toro Rosso presenteerde vanochtend haar bolide voor het komende seizoen. Net zoals alle andere bolides kenmerkt de STR7 zich door de 'getrapte' neus. Volgens technisch directeur Giorgio Ascanelli had het team echter nog agressiever kunnen zijn op dat gebied en zullen er de komende maanden dus nog wel enkele veranderingen worden doorgevoerd.

"We hadden wat agressiever kunnen zijn met het ontwerp van de STR7, maar doordat de auto's al voor de tests door de crashtests moesten gaan kwamen we daardoor tijd tekort", vertelde Ascanelli. "We zullen niet een geheel nieuw chassis gaan maken, maar ik denk dat we aan een andere neus gaan werken. Vorig jaar hebben we zoiets ook gedaan, al nam het toen wat teveel tijd in beslag. Hopelijk gaat dat dit seizoen sneller."
