Kampioen Vettel start seizoen 2012 zonder persoonlijke sponsors

Red Bull Racing-coureur Sebastian Vettel is een van de weinige rijders in de Formule 1 zonder persoonlijke geldschieters. Opvallend, een tweevoudig wereldkampioen zou voor veel bedrijven een ideaal uithangbord kunnen zijn, maar de Duitser kijkt heel kritisch naar geïnteresseerde partijen.

Vettel heeft de samenwerking met shampoomerk Head & Shoulders bijvoorbeeld beëindigd. Een merk moet perfect bij mij passen. Het is niet mijn doel om overal ja tegen te zeggen om maar veel geld te verdienen, verklaarde de Red Bull Racing-rijder in Bild am Sonntag.

En tegenover The Sun voegde hij toe: Natuurlijk ben ik geplaagd vanwege die reclame. Ik heb tenminste mijn shirt nooit uitgetrokken voor een reclame, zoals Jenson Button geloof ik. Ach, je moet jezelf niet altijd te serieus nemen.
