Formule 1 betaalt 1 miljard dollar aan CVC Capital

De Formula One Group gaat 1 miljard dollar aan dividend overmaken naar eigenaar CVC Capital, zo meldt persbureau Reuters. De betaling maakt onderdeel uit van de herfinanciering van een lening.

Deze uitkering verlengt de betalingsdeadline voor de lening van 2013 naar 2017. Een van de investeerders liet weten dat deze storting mogelijk een voorbode is van een beursgang door de Formule 1.

    ben benieuwd naar de waarde van de aandelen :-)

    maar als iets ontastbaars als facebook miljarden op de beurs waard is, dan moet de F1 toch ook voldoende waarde hebben

    denk dat ik dan ook maar aandeelhouder in de F1 wordt, lekker naar de aandeelhoudersvergadering en lekker met Bernie lopen brallen :-)

      Facebook is veel meer waard. Omwille van meerdere redenen. Zo heeft Facebook een veel groter publiek, hebben ze meer invloed op dat publiek dan dat de F1 heeft op haar publiek en weten ze veel meer over hun publiek. Voornamelijk de laatste twee zijn heel interessant voor persoonsgerichte advertenties e.d.

      Maar die vorige zeepbel in silicon valley is ook gebarsten. Morgen is er weer iets nieuws en beters en is Facebook niets meer. Bovendien blijft alles wat miljarden waard is en op internet gebasseerd is, gebakken lucht. Het is niet tastbaar en blijvend en dat maakt het in mijn ogen altijd lastig en gevaarlijk om in dergelijke bedrijven te beleggen. Ik heb niet de tijd om hele dagen de beurzen in de gaten te houden. Ik neem dan ook liever aandelen in bedrijven als Ahold en Shell bijvoorbeeld.

      De kracht van Facebook is direct marketing, ook reclame waar je zelf om vraagt door bv de pagina van een merk tussen je vrienden te zetten. En inderdaad een veel groter publiek.
      En de aandelen van Ahold zijn de laatste 10 jaar geen goede geweest hoor.. ging bijna failliet door de beursdaling die ze kregen enkele jaren terug..

    Waarde op een beurs vertegenwoordigd zelden de intrinsieke waarde van een onderneming. Men kijkt naar hoeveel een bedrijf verdient, hoeveel dividend wordt uitgekeerd, hoeveel groei er in de toekomst in de sector zit, wat voor mensen er werken. Het is in veel gevallen op de toekomst gebaseerd. Facebook is momenteel zoveel \'waard\' omdat men een gigantisch potentieel in de ruim 600 miljoen gebruikers ziet, reclame potentieel wel te verstaan. Facebook op dit moment is erg verliesgevend, dus de genoemde waarden in de media van 50 miljard zijn gebaseerd op de toekomst.
    Formule 1 is een vrij liquide en winstgevende onderneming, heeft wat groei mogelijkheden in Azie en de Amerika\'s. Maar natuurlijk nooit de potentie van een facebook. De \'waarde\' zal dan ook afhangen van het bestuur en de winstgevendheid.

    Maar inderdaad vaak zie je bubbels in de aandelenmarkt, als het goed gaat en men veel geld heeft stroomt dat vaak naar de aandelenmarkt. Stijgen en dalen hoort erbij.
