Rosberg: "Voor altijd bij Mercedes? Waarom niet?"

Nico Rosberg kan zich voorstellen dat hij de rest van zijn Formule 1-loopbaan bij Mercedes blijft. De Duitser won in China zijn eerste Grand Prix in zijn carriere en heeft grootse plannen met het fabrieksteam van de Duitse autofabrikant.

"Of ik voor altijd voor Mercedes kan rijden? Waarom niet? Mijn grote doel is om de wereldtitel te winnen in een zilverpijl. Dat zou nog zoeter smaken dan met bijvoorbeeld Ferrari", aldus de 26-jarige Rosberg in Sport Bild.

Hij duldt zelfs tweevoudig wereldkampioen Sebastian Vettel naast zich als teamgenoot. "Het maakt me niet uit, iedereen is welkom. Sebastian, wie dan ook. Ik heb daar geen probleem mee. Al zou het geweldig zijn als Michael Schumacher zijn contract verlengt. En volgens mij neigt hij naar doorgaan."
