Mercedes optimistisch over oplossing voor Concorde Agreement

Het team van Mercedes acht de kans groot dat het zich alsnog aansluit bij de nieuwe Concorde Agreement. De Duitse renstal was in eerste instantie verontwaardigd over de bijzondere regelingen met Ferrari, Red Bull Racing en McLaren.

Mercedes voelde zich gepasseerd, en Bernie Ecclestone liet zich ook laatdunkend over het team uit. Die plooien zijn glad gestreken, een akkoord is in de maak. Teambaas Ross Brawn onthult in Sport Bild: "We hebben eindelijk goede progressie geboekt in de onderhandelingen met Ecclestone. Daarom ben ik optimistisch dat we een oplossing vinden."
