Iley ontwikkelt compleet nieuwe achterkant voor Caterham CT01

Het team van Caterham plukt in Silverstone bij de Britse Grand Prix de eerste vruchten van de nieuwe performance engineer John Iley. De aerodynamicaspecialist is volgens Turun Sanomat bezig met het ontwerp van een volledige nieuwe achterkant voor de CT01. Die staat gepland voor een debuut in Silverstone.

Het optreden voor Caterham in Canada heeft optimisme aangewakkerd in de Maleisische renstal. Perswoordvoerder Tom Webb stelt in The Sun: "Montreal was bewijs dat we Scuderia Toro Rosso bijna binnen bereik hebben. Dat is goed nieuws voor het team en motiveert iedereen om nog harder te werken om zo snel mogelijk bij de middenmoot aan te sluiten. Dit buitengewone seizoen leverde al wat verrassende resultaten op en zodra we in de buurt komen van Toro Rosso en Williams behoort ook dat eerste punt tot de mogelijkheden."
