Burgemeester van Londen overwegend positief over Grand Prix

Een Grand Prix in de straten van Londen, die droom van Bernie Ecclestone is de afgelopen dagen flink aangewakkerd. Er moet nog heel wat gebeuren voordat het zover is. Boris Johnson, burgemeester van de Engelse hoofdstad, staat wel overwegend positief tegenover het idee.

Hij ziet echter ook obstakels. Johnson vertelde aan Express: "Ik ben altijd geïnteresseerd in projecten die banen en groei creëren. Er moet wel een goed economisch plaatje geschetst worden. Luchtkwaliteit en geluidshinder zijn vraagstukken waar we naar dienen te kijken. Ik ben wel positief als we die kwesties goed kunnen regelen."
