McLaren komt in Duitsland met grote zichtbare upgrade

Het team van Red Bull Racing introduceerde in Valencia een grote upgrade en dus kan McLaren niet achter blijven. De Britse renstal brengt bij de Britse Grand Prix een reeks aan vernieuwingen en belooft voor de Grand Prix van Duitsland een grote, duidelijk zichtbare update.

Teambaas Martin Whitmarsh onthulde tegenover Autosport: "Er zitten zeven of acht modificaties in de pijplijn. Het is een behoorlijk pakket, als we alle onderdelen op tijd hebben geproduceerd en ze op de baan de prestaties leveren die wij uit windtunneldata verwachten. Dan is het de moeite waard."

"Voor Duitsland hebben we een nieuw pakket, die zal visueel meer in het oog springen. Het zal zeker opvallen. Het is een aanzienlijke upgrade en we zullen zien of het genoeg is. Red Bull Racing pusht hard op dit moment, maar Ferrari ook en nog wel meer teams. Het is een onvoorstelbaar competitief seizoen, een opwindend kampioenschap en we moeten presteren."
