Red Bull Racing hoopvol over oplossing voor dynamo-problemen

Het team van Red Bull Racing is optimistisch dat partner Renault de aanhoudende problemen met de dynamo's te boven komt. De Oostenrijkse renstal reed vrijdag in Singapore met een nieuwe versie en de hoop is dat die in Japan klaar is voor het echte werk.

Red Bull Racing-teambaas Christian Horner: "Ik hoop dat we bij de volgende race over de nieuwe dynamo beschikken. Renault moet nog wat proeven uitvoeren op de testbank. Volgens mij hebben ze begrepen wat mis ging bij Jerome D'Ambrosio op Monza, omdat er toen duidelijke sporen achter bleven. Daaruit bleek in welke richting ze het probleem moesten zoeken."

"In Singapore dacht ik bij elke uitvalbeurt van een door Renault aangedreven auto: waarom? Gelukkig was de hydraulica bij Pastor Maldonado de oorzaak en bij Caterham vergaten ze om een wiel te monteren. De dynamo's op onze beide auto's functioneerden vlekkeloos."
