FIA verlengt DRS-zone voor Zuid-Korea met 80 meter

De internationale autosportbond FIA heeft de details voor het gebruik van DRS tijdens de Grand Prix van Zuid-Korea prijs gegeven. Het rechte stuk tussen bochten 2 en 3 is waar de coureurs hun achtervleugel plat kunnen leggen in de race, mits ze dicht genoeg achter een andere auto rijden.

Het meetpunt bevindt zich 90 meter voor bocht 1. De DRS-zone vangt 320 meter na bocht 2 aan, dat is 80 meter eerder dan vorig jaar. De speed trap voor het meten van de hoogste topsnelheden ligt 150 meter voor bocht 3 op het circuit van Yeongam.
