Duitse bank verlangt 400 miljoen dollar van Ecclestone

BayernLB wil dat Bernie Ecclestone 400 miljoen dollar terug betaalt, zo meldt de Suddeutsche Zeitung. De bank gelooft dat het dat bedrag is misgelopen bij de verkoop van de Formule 1-rechten aan CVC Capital, waarbij de corrupte bankier Gerhard Gribkowsky betrokken was.

De advocaten van BayernLB stuurden Ecclestone een brief met de claim voor schadevergoeding en compensatie. De Duitse bank is van mening dat Gribkowsky op aandringen van de commerciële Formule 1-baas de Formule 1-rechten ondergewaardeerd heeft.

Ecclestone is onaangedaan. "Ik heb niet gereageerd. Ik ben bereid om dit voor de rechter te bevechten. Deze hele affaire begint me wel de strot uit te hangen. Maar ik maak me nergens zorgen over", laat hij aan Reuters en The Telegraph weten.
