Twee DRS-zones en meetpunten voor race in Abu Dhabi

De internationale autosportbond FIA heeft de details voor het gebruik van DRS in de Grand Prix van Abu Dhabi prijs gegeven. Yas Marina Circuit bevat zondag twee zones waar de beweegbare achtervleugel plat te leggen is, net als vorig jaar.

Er zijn ook twee aparte detectiepunten. De eerste DRS-zone begint 390 meter na bocht 7, met het meetpunt 40 meter voor bocht 7. De tweede DRS-zone vangt in de apex van bocht 10 aan, met een detectiepunt 50 meter na bocht 9. De speed trap om de hoogste topsnelheden in kaart te brengen ligt 150 meter voor bocht 8.
