Todt: "Logisch om grootverdieners meer lasten te laten dragen"

Jean Todt, voorzitter van de internationale autosportbond FIA, heeft het beleid om de prijzen van de inschrijfgelden voor teams en de superlicenties voor coureurs te verhogen, verdedigd. Volgens de Fransman is het alleen maar logisch om de toppers meer te belasten.

Todt vertrouwde Autosport toe: "Ik heb zoveel verhalen gelezen die de realiteit niet weergeven. Op dit moment bedraagt het inschrijfgeld 309.000 euro, plus een bijdrage van ongeveer 400.000 euro voor services als timing en weersvoorspellingen. Dat is een totaal van rond de 750.000 euro. De kleine teams betalen minder, tussen de 360.000 euro en 580.000 euro. Dat geldt voor zes van de twaalf teams. De topteams dragen de zwaarste lasten."

"Dat is volgens mij vrij normaal. In elk democratisch land betalen de hoogste inkomens de meeste belasting. Dat genereert dertig procent meer opbrengsten. En bij de superlicenties voor de rijders is het concept hetzelfde. Een basissom van 10.000 dollar plus 1.000 dollar per punt, vergelijkbaar met situatie uit 2008/2009. Is dat nou zo hoog? Ik ben blij voor coureurs dat ze 20, 30 miljoen per jaar verdienen, maar dan kunnen ze toch wel 250.000 dollar voor een superlicentie betalen."

Ja hoor, maak de F1 duur zodat je geld kunt weggooien aan onzinnige andere kampioenschappen. De FIA lijkt net een regering, verhoog de wegenbelasting en stop het in overal in behalve in het wegennet.....
Laat de andere kampieonschappen de eigen broek maar ophouden. Oja, ik denk dat veel van de hogere premie\'s in de zakken van de bobo\'s verdwijnt....
