Investeringsmaatschappij Aabar verwerft aandeel in Toro Rosso

Aabar, de nationale investeringsmaatschappij uit Abu Dhabi, heeft een flinke hoeveelheid aandelen in Scuderia Toro Rosso aangeschaft. Dat schrijft het Duitse blad Sport Auto. Aabar was tot deze week aandeelhouder in het team van Mercedes.

De investeringsmaatschappij stond die aandelen af, mogelijk om zich bij een ander Formule 1-team te roeren. Aabar was via oliefirma Cepsa al betrokken bij Scuderia Toro Rosso en zou nu tussen de 49 en 61 procent van de aandelen gekocht hebben. De Italiaanse renstal heeft nog geen commentaar gegeven.
