Rolex vanaf 2013 de officiële tijdwaarnemer van de Formule 1

De Formule 1 heeft een nieuwe partner weten te strikken. Horlogefabrikant Rolex heeft zich voor meerdere seizoenen als officiële tijdwaarnemer aan de koningsklasse van de autosport verbonden. Het logo van het Zwitserse merk zal tijdens Grands Prix op diverse punten langs de circuits te zien zijn.

Bernie Ecclestone: "Zonder twijfel is Rolex een welkome partner voor een wereldwijde sport als de Formule 1. De prestige die het merk uitstraalt en het vakmanschap van de producten in combinatie met de passie van Rolex voor autosport doorspekt deze overeenkomst van waardigheid. Dit samenwerkingsverband is iets waar veel mensen in de Formule 1 lang op hebben gewacht en nu terecht opgewonden over zijn. Rolex heeft een ongelofelijk erfgoed in de sportwereld en daarom is de Formule 1 de juiste plek voor Rolex."
