Sportief directeur Steve Nielsen dient ontslag in bij Caterham

Steve Nielsen verlaat zijn functie van sportief directeur bij Caterham met ingang van januari, zo weet Autosport te melden. Het is niet duidelijk waarom de Brit zijn ontslag heeft ingediend. Bronnen suggereren dat hij bij een ander team aan de slag gaat.

Nielsen was pas een jaar in dienst bij Caterham. Eerder werkte hij in de Formule 1 voor Tyrrell, Arrows en Benetton/Renault. Caterham weet nog niet of ze een vervanger voor Nielsen aan gaan trekken, de renstal overweegt een nieuwe structuur voor het sportieve gedeelte.
