Video: Toeschouwers gewond bij massale crash in NASCAR

De NASCAR beleefde afgelopen weekend het prestigieuze evenement op Daytona. Zaterdag ging het in de Nationwide Series-race flink mis. Vlak voor de finish raakten veel coureurs met elkaar verstrengeld, met een massale crash tot gevolg. Meest prominent vloog Kyle Larson door het beeld. Zijn auto werd gelanceerd en belandde in de hekken. De brokstukken van de desintegrerende wagen belandden in het publiek en verwondden dertig toeschouwers. Twee fans raakten zwaar gewond, maar zijn buiten levensgevaar. De meesten zijn reeds ontslagen uit het ziekenhuis.

    Eindelijk, heb dit bericht en filmpje al zowat op iedere site zien staan.
    Serieuze brokstukken welke eventjes door dat hek komen zetten, zit je lekker van je Budweiser te genieten op de tribune heb je opeens een V8 blok op schoot, mag toch hopen dat je deze als souvenir mee mag nemen?
    Hoop dat het met de gewonden weer snel goed mag gaan, had begrepen dat hierbij ook een kind betrokken was dus dat is erg, dit is het beetje het soort vermaak waar de mensen op de overvolle tribunes op zitten te wachten alleen nu kwam het wel erg dichtbij...

      Wat ik me nou altijd afvraag he? Waarom is het ineens erger als er een kind bij is betrokken? Een mensenleven is een mensenleven zou je zeggen...

      Jij vind het net zo erg als er een opaatje van 85 (aan het einde van zijn leven, met respect) om het leven komt, als een kind van 5 (die zijn hele leven nog voor zich heeft)? Komop zeg..

      1. om de reden die Grimmie187 noemt
      2. Kinderen worden over het algemeen toch als zwakker en weerlozer gezien door de meeste mensen
      3. Als je zelf kinderen hebt denk ik dat je t ook wel begrijpt...
      Daarbuiten, wat net zo tragisch is, is als een kind zn ouders verliest

      Ah, had de wedervraag nu pas gelezen, maar hoef al niet meer te antwoorden, sluit ik me bij aan. Voor de rest niet teveel over verder discussiëren, zijn namelijk droevige zaken..

      Wat me dan wel weer leuk lijkt in geval van zo\'n crash, dat Danica Patrick uit de wagen geslingerd wordt en bij je op schoot belandt (ongedeerd weliswaar he):-)

      Maar inderdaad de redenen dat het erger is als er een kind betrokken raakt bij zo\'n tragedie lijken me duidelijk

      @Alflonzo: Ja dat is precies precies waar ik mee zit, \'kinderen zijn over het algemeen weerlozer\'. Maar als je door een V8 blok geraakt wordt maak je leeftijd niet uit hoor.

      Ik snap dat het erg is.. Das geen discussie.

      Maar ik ben nog steeds niet overtuigd waarom het erger zou zijn. M.i. is het net zo erg.
