Jean Todt gaat waarschijnlijk door als FIA-president

Jean Todt zwaait waarschijnlijk ook de komende vier jaar de scepter bij de internationale autosportbond FIA. De in 2009 tot president verkozen Fransman weet zich gesteund door een groot front aan leden en bonden, waaronder de regio's Noord-, Zuid- en Midden-Amerika.

Persbureau AFP en La Presse citeren Todt: "Als de mensen in Noord-, Zuid- en Midden-Amerika met één stem vragen of je door wil gaan, dan maakt dat de keuze om door te gaan veel makkelijker. Dat zal ik zwaar laten wegen in mijn afweging. Het duurt nog even voordat het zover is, maar als een team je pusht om verder te gaan motiveert dat zeker om verder te gaan."
