Fittipaldi aan het hoofd van nieuwe FIA Drivers' Commission

Emerson Fittipaldi is door de internationale autosportbond FIA aangesteld als president van de nieuwe Drivers' Commission. De rijderscommissie is noodzakelijk om de voorwaardelijke erkenning van het Internationaal Olympisch Comité om te zetten in een definitieve status.

Negenvoudig WRC-kampioen Sebastien Loeb fungeert als vice-president. Voor de afdeling Eenzitters zijn Nigel Mansell, Karun Chandhok en Maria de Villota gestrikt. Tweevoudig wereldkampioen Formule 1 Fittipaldi staat dus aan het roer bij deze werkgroep.
