Di Resta: "We hebben goed werk geleverd in de winter"

De beslissing van Force India om zich vooral bezig te houden met de nieuwe banden in de winter betaalt zich uit, dat zegt Paul di Resta. Het team viel niet op in de wintertests, maar is nu een goede vijfde achter Red Bull, Ferrari, Lotus en Mercedes.

"Ik denk dat we goed werk hebben geleverd in de winter," reageerde de Schot. "We hebben veel kortere runs opgeofferd om te werken aan langere runs. We wisten wat we wilden met de wagen en ik denk dat we het ook hebben bereikt."

Di Resta zei nog dat het vooral de lage bandenslijtage is die het team helpt. "Het is essentieel dat we een ander slijtageprofiel hebben. Er is een mogelijkheid om dat te beïnvloeden."
