Ecclestone sloot reeds akkoord met Pirelli voor 2014

Pirelli is als het aan Bernie Ecclestone ligt ook na 2013 de bandenleverancier voor de Formule 1. De Italiaanse bandenfabrikant smeekt al tijden om een nieuw contract, maar de internationale autosportbond FIA gaf daar nog geen gehoor aan.

Met Ecclestone is alles al in kannen en kruiken, zo onthulde de commerciële baas van de Formule 1 tegenover Christian Sylt. "Wij hebben reeds een contract met Pirelli voor volgend jaar. Pirelli heeft alleen nog geen overeenkomst met de FIA voor 2014."
