Raikkonen benieuwd naar herstel van Lotus in Duitsland

Kimi Raikkonen en Lotus zijn voor de Duitse Grand Prix extra gebrand op een goed resultaat. Ze hebben wat recht te zetten na de slotfase van de race op Silverstone. Raikkonen zag het podium door zijn vingers glippen door een verkeerde strategische beslissing. De Fin is benieuwd hoe Lotus zich daar binnen een week van herpakt.

Raikkonen: "We beloven nooit iets vooraf. Een podium in Duitsland zou een positief resultaat en een stap in de juiste richting zijn. Dat hebben we in Groot-Brittannië verzuimd om te doen en het zou goed zijn om dat weg te spoelen met een topklassering. Het seizoen is nog lang en we zijn in de achtervolging op de leiders. Het enige dat ik kan doen is mijn best, in elke race."

"De Nürburgring is een leuk circuit, maar waarschijnlijk wel minder dan de oude baan. We zouden hier goed uit de verf moeten komen, maar je hebt een goede auto nodig om competitief te zijn. Veel tractie en stabiliteit onder remmen zijn belangrijk op dit circuit. Op die vlakken scoren we redelijk hoog. Koel weer zou ons niet in de kaart spelen, maar we zien het wel."
