Hongarije verlengt Grand Prix-contract tot en met 2021

De Grand Prix van Hongarije prijkt in elk geval tot en met 2021 op de Formule 1-kalender. Dat heeft Bernie Ecclestone tegenover Reuters bekendgemaakt. Hongarije is al sinds 1986 organisator van een Formule 1-race.

Alleen Monaco en Monza staan langer onafgebroken op het Formule 1-schema. Hongarije nam na 1985 de plaats in van Zandvoort en was de eerste Grand Prix achter het 'IJzeren Gordijn'. De komende acht jaar is het evenement op de Hungaroring sowieso gewaarborgd.

      Ik kan me ook leukere races voorstellen. De race was wel aardig dit jaar, maar het was ook een bewijs hoe moeilijk het is om er in te halen zonder schade aan 1 van beide auto\'s... Het is voor de kijkers toch echt leuker een race te zien met inhaalacties op de baan dan een race met inhaalacties in de pits.

    Leuk! De race met de minste inhaalacties blijft nog 8 jaar op de kalender staan. Zelfs Monaco heeft meer inhaalacties gehad afgelopen jaar.

    Ik vind het prima, maar eigenlijk willen we natuurlijk allemaal van der Garde aanmoedigen op Zandvoort. Wanneer gaat die boel nou eens echt op de schop, de laatste keer is ook alweer >15 jaar geleden. iets voor Boekhoorn ?

    de McGregor-Ring klinkt niet, McGregor Circuit Park Zandvoort dan maar ?

      Als je in Zandvoort op het circuit loopt heb je echt het idee dat je 30 jaar terug in de tijd gaat. Dus daar moet men echt eens bezig, zeker als je kijkt naar het circuit van Assen.

      De F1 zal denk ik nooit meer naar Zandvoort komen, de faciliteiten en infrastructuur zijn een oude bende en zijn er veel klagende omwonenden die overlast hebben van het geluid.
      Als de F1 ooit terugkomt naar Nederland zal het op een nieuw circuit of in Assen moeten gebeuren, Assen heeft alles up to date maar is een typisch motor-circuit, waar je haast nergens met auto\'s kan inhalen.

    Deze corrupte van mafia doorspekte bende sluit goed aan bij de heer Ecclestone, die is ook niet vies van frauduleuze spelletjes. Niets anders verwacht dat de meest onaantrekkelijke race op kalender (zelfs nog slechter dan Monaco, zowel op maar vooral naast het circuit althans toen er nog geen waterpark was) nog 8 jaar blijft.

    Doe de RedBull ring er voor in de plaats, is 20x beter zeg ik uit eigen ervaring en verleng het contract met Silverstone en Monza! Ecclestone doet bij tal van races moeilijk Canada, Hockenheim, Nurburgring etc etc etc en deze blijft aan de kalender plakken als een parasiet aan zijn gastheer.
