FIA en Formule 1 eens over nieuw Concorde Agreement

De randvoorwaarden voor een nieuwe Concorde Agreement zijn geschapen, de internationale autosportbond FIA heeft een overeenkomst bereikt met de Formula One Group. Alle partijen zijn het eens over de implementatie van een nieuw akkoord. Ze verwachten het proces de komende weken af te ronden en dan het document te ondertekenen.

In een verklaring staat: "De Formula One Group en de FIA hebben een overeenstemming getekend dat het geraamte voor een nieuw Concorde Agreement moet vormen. Dit akkoord wordt van kracht zodra de besturen van de betrokken instanties hun fiat hebben gegeven in de komende weken. Meer informatie en details volgen wanneer die instemming is ontvangen."

Bernie Ecclestone heeft al commerciële afspraken gemaakt met tien teams. Alleen Marussia heeft geen contract voorgeschoteld gekregen. De vorming van een Formule 1 Strategy Group om nieuwe ideeën met betrekking tot de reglementen te bedenken maakte onderdeel uit van de onderhandelingen tussen de FIA en de Formula One Group.
