Van der Garde ontspant in Italië en fietst in Spanje

Voor Giedo van der Garde is net als zijn collega-coureurs een korte pauze aangebroken. Caterham sloot begin deze week de fabriek voor de verplichte zomervakantie van twee weken. Hoe vult Van der Garde deze onderbreking in?

Deze week brengt hij door in Italië voor een korte vakantie, waarbij de nadruk echt ligt op ontspanning. Volgende week gaat de Nederlander naar Spanje om de fysieke conditie op te schroeven. Samen met zijn trainer zal Van der Garde ongeveer 500, 600 kilometer afleggen op zijn racefiets om zich te prepareren voor de tweede seizoenshelft. Dat meldde hij allemaal in de meest recente episode van Caterham Unchained.

    Ben echt benieuwd wat de 2de helft gaat brengen voor giedo,hoop dat hij pic gewoom regelmatig verslaat,dan is hij gewoon goed bezig,en dan volgend jaar door bij caterham en verder groeien

      ik vind dat hij dat wel verdiend,en zeker vanwege ze harde werken,je ziet dat het niet makkelijk is geweest,en dat hij zijn draai zeker heeft weten te vinden,en misschien wel net op tijd

      De sterke positieve mentaliteit van Van der Garde is inderdaad een sterk punt en dat siert hem vooral. Met hard werken en een goede instelling kun je ook zeker ver komen (en het bereiken van de F1 als Nederlander is op zich al een prestatie).

      Volgende races worden echt cruciaal Mas. 1 zwaluw maakt geen zomer, hij zal moeten blijven presteren zoals hij in Hongarije gedaan heeft, anders wordt het lastig om zijn F1 avontuur een vervolg te geven.

    beste prestaties komen meestal onder druk, misschien had hij juist een beetje peper in zijn poeperd nodig om Pic eens bij zijn kalote te pakken

    want hij kon wel zo zeker overkomen, dat iedereen over Heikki begint zal hem toch echt niet lekker zitten

      dat contract zit wel goed,alleen de prestatie\'s zaten hem in ze maag,je wilt niet een jaar lang het lulletje wezen in de f1,hij heeft gewoon bewezen dat hij pic aankan,en vanaf nu gewoon proberen elke keer de betere te wezen,of gelijkwaardig
