Naamswijziging voor Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona

Het Formule 1-circuit in de buurt van Barcelona heeft een kleine naamswijziging ondergaan. De gastheer van de Grand Prix van Spanje sinds 1991 ging altijd door het leven als Circuit de Catalunya.

De gemeenteraad van Barcelona stemde recent echter in met een sponsorovereenkomst met de baan en daardoor heet het circuit voortaan Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. Dat melden El Mundo Deportivo en Marca.

    Denken ze nu echt dat mensen voortaan de naam zou gaan uitspreken? Maar goed, wel leuk voor hen dat Barcelona nu op gedrukte stukken wat meer in de schijnwerpers komt te staan.
