Enkele DRS-zone op Suzuka voor Japanse Grand Prix

De internationale autosportbond FIA heeft de details prijs gegeven voor het gebruik van het Drag Reduction System tijdens de Grand Prix van Japan van komend weekend. Het circuit van Suzuka wordt uitgerust één DRS-zone.

Dat is na Monaco de tweede keer dit seizoen dat de teams en coureurs met een enkele DRS-zone te maken krijgen, op de overige circuits waren er telkens twee zones. Op de slingerende baan van Suzuka is dat niet het geval. Het meetpunt bevindt zich vlak voor bocht 16. De enige DRS-zone vangt na bocht 18 aan en strekt zich uit over het rechte stuk van start en finish.
