Red Bull Racing: "Prodromou dient contract bij ons uit"

Het team van Red Bull Racing verleent Peter Prodromou geen toestemming om voortijdig de overstap naar McLaren te maken. Dat verkondigde teambaas Christian Horner. Aerodynamicaspecialist Prodromou ligt nog tot eind 2014 vast bij Red Bull Racing.

Hij tekende al een contract bij McLaren, maar van een spoedige transfer is geen sprake. Horner: "Peter is een gewaardeerd lid van ons team. Hij levert een waardevolle bijdrage en we hebben in de breedte een sterk technisch team. We zijn niet van plan om hem voortijdig te laten gaan, hij dient zijn contract bij ons uit."

Prodromou verruilde in 2006 McLaren voor Red Bull Racing en bewandelt nu dus de omgekeerde weg. De Brit geldt in de functie van hoofd aerodynamica als rechterhand van technisch directeur Adrian Newey.
