Ramon Pineiro maakt Formule 2-debuut in Valencia

Ramon Pineiro zal volgend weekend zijn debuut maken in de Formule 2. De Spanjaard testte afgelopen winter al in een Formule 2-auto en kwam enkele weken geleden in actie tijdens een test op Brands Hatch.

Pineiro rijdt dit jaar in de Formule Palmer Audi, maar kijkt erg uit naar zijn uitstapje naar de Formule 2. "Ik ben erg opgetogen over deze geweldige kans", vertelde de pas 18-jarige Spanjaard. "Het is een geweldige auto om mee te rijden, ondanks dat deze veel sneller is dan dat ik gewend ben in de Formule Palmer Audi."

"Het zal niet gemakkelijk worden voor me, omdat ik alleen in het laatste weekend meedoe en meteen tegen de allerbeste coureurs uit de Formule 2 moet strijden. Ik zal het meeste uit het weekend proberen te halen."
