Lariche traint voor het eerst naar snelste tijd, Snoeks zevende

Benjamin Lariche is voor het eerst dit seizoen bovenaan geëindigd in een vrije training. Op het circuit van Valencia realiseerde de 23-jarige Fransman een 1:28.022. Philipp Eng legde beslag op de tweede plek op 0,149 seconde van Lariche.

Kelvin Snoeks noteerde de zevende tijd. Hij gaf bijna een seconde toe op de snelste man. Titelfavoriet Dean Stoneman is terug te vinden op de elfde positie. De enige overgebleven rivaal van de Brit deed het echter niet beter. Jolyon Palmer besloot de sessie namelijk als veertiende.
