Formule 2 voegt GP2-test bij prijzenpakket

De nummers twee en drie in de eindstand in de Formule 2 worden vanaf volgend seizoen ook beloond. De organisatie stelt een testdag in de GP2 voor de runner-up en de nummer drie in het kampioenschap in het vooruitzicht. De kampioen krijgt een Formule 1-test bij Williams.

Formule 2-directeur Jonathan Palmer: De continuering van de Formule 1-test met Williams voor de Formule 2-kampioen is een groot voordeel, helemaal omdat het een hele testdag tijdens de young driver-sessie betreft. Williams is de perfecte partner voor de Formule 2 en ze bieden echt de beste mogelijkheden voor onze titelwinnaar. Met de GP2 als bewezen route richting in de Formule 1 vinden wij het belangrijk om aan de nummers twee en drie een GP2-test aan te bieden, om de Formule 2 als serieuze opmaat voor een pad naar de Formule 1 te positioneren.
