Organisatie Formule 2 aan de slag om koppelingsproblemen op te lossen

Sinds de komst van de nieuwe generatie Formule 2-auto's zijn er veel problemen met de koppeling. Twee weken geleden in Bakoe bleven meerdere coureurs bij de start van de races staan vanwege problemen met de koppeling. Ook in Bahrein kwam een aantal coureurs niet goed van zijn plek. De coureurs hebben de organisatie opgeroepen het probleem zo snel mogelijk op te pakken, aangezien het voor een veiligheidsrisico zorgt bij de start.

De Formule 2 heeft in de aanloop van het weekend in Barcelona getest met een testauto met een andere afstelling van de koppeling. De oplossing had in Bakoe al doorgevoerd kunnen worden, maar de organisatie wilde het risico niet nemen om het ongetest toe te passen. In Spanje zou het een stuk beter moeten gaan met de koppeling, in Monaco zou het probleem definitief opgelost moeten zijn.
