Deletraz rijdt in 2019 voor het team van Carlin

Louis Deletraz gaat in 2019 voor het team van Carlin rijden in de Formule 2. Het is voor Deletraz zijn vierde team in de Formule 2. In 2017 begon hij het seizoen namelijk bij het team van Racing Engineering, alvorens hij halverwege het seizoen de overstap maakte naar Rapax. Voor 2018 vertrok hij naar het team van Charouz Racing System en Carlin wordt dus het volgende team in dat rijtje.

"Ik ben erg blij dat ik in het 2019-seizoen voor Carlin in de Formule 2 ga rijden. Ik ben naar Carlin gekomen, omdat we in het verleden al eerder hebben samengewerkt en daarnaast ging de post season-test perfect. Ik ben erg opgewonden om het seizoen te beginnen en voel me al helemaal thuis in het team. De motivatie van iedereen is geweldig."

"Ik ben erg dankbaar voor de geweldige steun en het vertrouwen van mijn sponsors. Alles bij elkaar zijn we een sterk team", aldus Deletraz. Trevor Carlin, de teambaas van het gelijknamige team, is blij dat Deletraz terugkeert. De Zwitser maakte in 2016 in Abu Dhabi zijn debuut in de GP2/Formule 2 voor Carlin. "We zijn er verheugd over dat we Louis voor het aankomende seizoen terug mogen verwelkomen in het team."

"We hebben in 2016 al voor één race met hem samengewerkt en ook tijdens de post season-tests in Abu Dhabi afgelopen maand. Hij is een fantastische rijder om mee samen te werken en ik ben er zeker van dat we samen een sterk jaar kunnen hebben wanneer het aankomende seizoen gaat beginnen."
