Max Snegirev verruilt Formule 3 voor Formule 2

Max Snegirev heeft zijn naam toegevoegd aan de deelnemerslijst voor de Formule 2 in 2011. De 23-jarige Rus was in 2010 actief in het Brits Formule 3-kampioenschap, maar kon daarin niet imponeren. In de Formule 2-tests aan het einde van vorig jaar ging het wel goed.

Snegirev: Ik verheug me op het nieuwe seizoen en ik heb vertrouwen dat ik kan presteren. Nadat ik de leiding en structuur van dit kampioenschap zag aarzelde ik geen moment. Ik heb een goed gevoel bij de Formule 2. Ik doe nog niet aan doelstellingen, sommige andere coureurs zitten al jaren in de Formule 2. Het wordt een uitdaging. Ik wil competitief zijn en ik voel me lekker in de auto. Ik had een moeizaam jaar in de Formule 3, maar ik heb veel geleerd. Ik concentreer me op mezelf en ben extreem gemotiveerd.
