Ramon Pineiro verbindt zich aan seizoen in Formule 2

Ramon Pineiro is als 22ste coureur aan de Formule 2-grid toegevoegd. De jonge Spanjaard debuteerde in de seizoensfinale van 2010 in Valencia in de Formule 2 en gaat het dit jaar een heel seizoen proberen. Daarvoor reed hij in het Brits Formule Palmer Audi-kampioenschap.

Pineiro: Ik bezette de tweede positie bij het testen op Silverstone, dus ik reken op een mooi weekend. De concurrentie is zwaar, maar ik ga mijn best doen en probeer een goed resultaat neer te zetten. De Formule 2 is de ideale serie om je potentie aan te tonen doordat alle auto's gelijk zijn. Ik ga vechten voor het kampioenschap. Het testen verliep goed en ik verwacht in de top mee te kunnen doen. Ik richt me op podiumplekken en overwinningen.
