Charouz Racing System legt Beckmann en Samaia vast voor 2021

David Beckmann en Guilherme Samaia vormen komend Formule 2-seizoen het rijdersduo van Charouz Racing System. Beckmann, een 20-jarige Duitser, is afkomstig uit de Formule 3, waarin hij vorig jaar als zesde eindigde. De 24-jarige Samaia begint aan zijn tweede seizoen in het voorportaal van de Formule 1, na een puntloos 2020 namens Campos Racing.

Beckmann: "Ik ben verguld om de stap naar de Formule 2 te maken. Er staat me een nieuwe auto en een nieuwe uitdaging te wachten, vergelijkbaar met toen ik de overstap van de Formule 4 naar de Formule 3 maakte. Het is weer een stapje dichterbij de Formule 1, mijn ultieme doel. Dat ik dit avontuur samen met Charouz aanga, stelt me gerust. Ze hebben sinds hun entree in de Formule 2 meermaals bewezen hun zaakjes goed op orde te hebben en competitief en consistent te zijn."

Samaia: "Ik ben extreem blij om me voor 2021 bij Charouz te voegen. Ze gaven me eind vorig jaar de kans om mezelf opnieuw op te bouwen en te laten zien waartoe ik in staat ben op de baan. Het team gaf me nieuwe energie met de test die we samen na het seizoen afwerkten. Ik ben oprecht dankbaar dat ik met zo'n ongelofelijke groep mensen mag samenwerken. Ik heb er alle vertrouwen in dat we een taaie tegenstander zullen vormen dit jaar, we gaan in ieder geval hard pushen."

Ok, da's weer een team minder waar Verschoor of Viscaal terecht kunnen. Blijft alleen Mp over. Beckmann had zo zijn momenten in de F3, maar was meestal de minste van de Tridents. Samaia was in ieder geval slim genoeg om uit de problemen te blijven als hij gedubbeld werd, maar zijn snelheid was om te huilen vergeleken met Aitken. Zal een flinke zak geld aan te pas zijn gekomen

  Ja Brazilië lijkt maar geen vers talent te vinden, Camara Sete is redelijk maar schiet te toch te kort lijkt me.

  Drugo was inderdaad een leuke verrassing. Eigenlijk gehaald voor de centen, maar hij was meteen al snel. Geheel verdiend dat hij nu naar Uni virtuosi kan
