Fabio Gamberini rijdt komend weekend in de Formule 2

Fabio Gamberini debuteert komend weekend op de Nürburgring in de Formule 2. De 18-jarige Braziliaan is dit jaar actief in het Europese Formule 3 Open en bezet daarin de tweede positie. In Duitsland bestuurt hij de auto waarin eerder Tom Gladdis en Jon Lancaster reden.

Gamberini: Ik ben echt opgewonden over dit weekend en kijk ernaar uit om in de Formule 2 te racen. Het betreft mijn eerste keer in deze auto en het is ook een eerste kennismaking met de Nürburgring, dus ik zal moeten wennen en veel moeten leren in korte tijd. De Formule 2-bolide is ook veel sneller dan alles dat ik tot nu toe bestuurd heb. Mijn doel voor het weekend is een finish in de top acht en als alles goed gaat is een volledig seizoen in de Formule 2 voor volgend jaar een serieuze optie.
