Rene Binder debuteert op Red Bull Ring in Formule 2

Rene Binder rijdt volgend weekend op voor eigen publiek op de Red Bull Ring voor het eerst in de Formule 2. De 19-jarige Oostenrijker is momenteel actief in het Duits Formule 3-kampioenschap, met een voorlopige achtste plaats in de tussenstand en één podium als oogst tot nu toe in 2011.

Binder: Ik ben echt opgewonden dat ik op de Red Bull Ring in de Formule 2 ga racen. Ik heb eerder deze maand al op dat circuit gereden, dus ik ken de baan al. Ik heb nog niet veel tijd in de Formule 2-wagen gespendeerd, maar ik heb al wel gevoeld dat de auto lekker te besturen is en anders is dan alles waarin ik tot nu toe heb geracet. Op dit moment is het alleen de bedoeling dat ik in Oostenrijk rij, maar als het goed gaat is de Formule 2 zeker een optie voor 2012.
