Van de Laar beproeft geluk bij Prema Powerteam

Dennis van de Laar voegt zich voor 2014 bij Prema Powerteam, een van de topteams in het Europees Formule 3-kampioenschap. De 19-jarige Nederlander reed dit jaar voor Van Amersfoort Racing in hetzelfde kampioenschap en behaalde een zesde plek als beste klassering.

Van de Laar: "Ik kan me bijna niet voorstellen om Van Amersfoort Racing te verlaten, sinds mijn eerste stappen in de autosport ben ik aan dat team verbonden geweest. Echter, het is ook belangrijk om mijn leercurve en ontwikkeling als coureur voort te zetten."

Prema-teammanager Rene Rosin: "We zien in Dennis een rijder met genoeg potentie om verder te groeien. Hij is jong, kent het merendeel van de circuits op de kalender en heeft bewezen snel te zijn. Vertrouwen op een getalenteerde coureur met een jaar ervaring lijkt een logische keuze."
