Van der Zande gaat voor titel met Prema Powerteam

Renger van der Zande rijdt dit jaar wederom voor Prema Powerteam in de Formule 3 Euroseries. De 21-jarige Nederlander had een aanbieding van een GP2-team, maar verkiest nog een jaar in het bijprogramma van de DTM boven het voorprogramma van de Europese Formule 1-races.

Van der Zande wil namelijk eerst de titel winnen in de Formule 3 Euroseries. Ik had een interessante optie in de GP2, maar ik wil eerst kampioen worden in de Euroseries. Ik heb vorig jaar veel geleerd en ben een veel betere coureur geworden. Ik wil dit jaar het kampioenschap winnen en ik denk dat het mogelijk is bij Prema.

Prema-teambaas Angelo Rosin: Wij willen dit jaar strijden voor de titel en wij denken dat we met Renger een goede kans maken. Hij heeft al bewezen races te kunnen winnen en ik kan ook niet wachten tot het seizoen weer begint.
