Hulkenberg naar pole, Van der Zande net buiten toptien

Nico Hulkenberg heeft vandaag in Zandvoort de pole position veroverd in de Formule 3 Euroserie. De jonge Duitser was de Fin Mika Maki acht honderdsten te snel af. Jean-Karl Vernay is de beste Volkswagen-coureur op de vijfde plek, omdat kampioenschapsleider Eduardo Mortara het laat afweten met een vijftiende tijd. Christian Vietoris doet het niet veel beter en wordt tiende. Dankzij de pole voor Hulkenberg is de voorsprong van Mortara in de stand al geslonken tot 14 punten.

Beste Nederlander is Renger van der Zande op de elfde plek. Henkie Waldschmidt wordt negentiende. Het veld zit erg dicht bij elkaar met 18 auto's binnen een seconde. De verwachte regen voor morgen kan het veld nog verder door elkaar gooien.
